{"id":1552,"date":"2021-07-27T15:07:07","date_gmt":"2021-07-27T13:07:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lajara.test:9999\/viticoltura-biologica-zero-residui-chimici-nei-nostri-vini\/"},"modified":"2021-11-26T16:48:11","modified_gmt":"2021-11-26T15:48:11","slug":"organic-viticulture-no-chemicals-in-our-wines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lajara.it\/en\/organic-viticulture-no-chemicals-in-our-wines\/","title":{"rendered":"Organic viticulture: no chemicals in our wines"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At La Jara winery we don\u2019t use any pesticides, herbicides or any other chemical products in the vineyards.<br>We adopt sustainable viticulture methods in order to minimize the impact on the ecosystem and to ensure high quality wines with <strong>zero chemical residues.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the vineyard our commitment is to <strong>preserve the entire ecosystem<\/strong> in order to protect and support the natural balance between helpful insects and harmful insects because they are the ones that help us to create a vegetative balance for our vines. Here are the practices that we implement in our vineyard: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>topping the shots in order to improve ventilation of the clusters and to avoid the formation of mold or other plant diseases;<\/li><li>we only use organic fertilizers that don\u2019t pollute the soil or groundwater and above all it serves to insects and microorganism that favor the decomposition of leaves, grass etc;<\/li><li>a drip irrigation system that minimises the water waste;<\/li><li>piling soil up around the base of the vinestock in order to eliminate the grass around it; in this way we avoid the use of herbicides and any other type of chemical product.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Below a video with our vinegrowers removing the grass:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"2017  La Jara   scalzatura\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CXplvPa6BxM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, all our interventions follow the seasonal growing cycle and respect the vines\u2019 needs.&nbsp;This is the duty of organic producers: to preserve the entire ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to an organic viticulture, the winemaking process also respects the fruits and their link with the terroir.
